Premises and Equipment
Grays Bodyshop Ltd are situated within the Globe Industrial
Estate in Grays, Thurrock, only 5 miles from the Dartford
Thames Crossing/ M25.
Since Feb 2005, we are operating on a total workspace
of 12,000 sq ft, being split into 2 fully equipped workshops
very close to each other.
The original workshop of 6000 sq ft is our shopfront with customer reception and facilities, offices and estimating bay. There is also a dedicated panelshop, housing our jig and welding equipment
The new unit has painting facilities to take conventional as well as commercial vehicles,
with a 5t 2-post vehicle lift and a conventional as well as 8m commercial booth.
Of course, we use the latest Spies Hecker water based
paint technology for all our vehicles. Solvent paints are a thing of the past now.
As you would expect, we are also using
modern technology when it comes to estimating, with digital
imaging and electronic estimating, submitted via email
where possible. We are currently using two electronic estimating
systems, the infamous Audatex system and Inter-est
Electronic Estimating, covering all insurance company needs.
We are currently running a fleet of
15 courtesy Cars, all of which are less than 1 year old.
They are mainly Vauxhall Corsas, but there are also Kias, Micras and VW Polos..
